Up for auction...A British made,
WWI U.S., 1917 Model CAMOFLAGED BRODIE / DOUGHBOY HELMET with its original LINER.  It is painted with the 40th "SUNRISE" DIVISION insignia.  They were stationed in France as a depot Division, and not frontline
.  Some of the numbers stamped into the underside of the rim,
near the edge seam,
are difficult to read.  The helmet paint is textured with sawdust to help prevent glare.  The 4 color camoflage paint has a nice aged look, and none of the helmet fluoresces under black light.
