    Description

This helmet shows overall wear, scuffs, scratches, and soiling/dirt/dust due to age, use, and storage. Liner shows overall wear, crackling, some tears, and soiling. Chinstrap shows wear and tear and soiling. Tarnishing and verdigris to metal components. Marked "6A" on the underside of the brim. Please note that there are names written on three of the liner flaps -- "Bud Barrere", "Waldo A. Hall", and "Virginia M. Burchstead". Not sure who these people were to the original owner or if one of the names belongs to the original owner, but overall an interesting piece. This helmet would be wonderful addition to your WWI collection and would be great for display!
