Vintage Tom's Peanuts & Cracker Jar Lid - Older Version w/Short T Logo - NICE

NOTE: The jar is not part of this auction, ONLY the LID.
I put this on the jar to show it fits the one gallon size jar. It measures 7" across and the part that sits on the jar is 5 1/2" across. This is the hard one to find or much harder to find. This is the short T logo on Tom's and the red is not as bright and shinny as the lid's with the long T. This came from a Tom's distributor's warehouse and the story is some of the store owners wanted to replace their lids with the bright shinny lid and this one was once used in a store but was changed out and just came back and sit in the warehouse. No chips or issues other than some fingernail scratches shown in the picture to the red top which makes it perfect vintage patina. We are talking this lid has been in this warehouse for 50 years or longer and untouched until now.
