Vintage Set of 5 Chinese Hand Paintings on Silk;
Up for sale is a set of 5 Chinese watercolor paintings of flowers, butterflies and a bird on silk, dated mid-20
th
century onward.
These hand painted flowers including roses, together with the butterflies and a bird, are in varieties and beautiful colors. All paintings were original and signed in calligraphy. Two paintings were clearly shown the dates of creation, as of
辛
卯
(1951) and
甲
辰
(1964)
, respectively.
The silk paintings are all framed by the paperboard. The measures of the paintings are displayed at the sides.
Measures:
Two paintings in the same sizes: Paperboard frame part, 11 ¼” x 9 ½”; Painting part, 8 ¼” x 7”. Another three paintings in the same sizes: Paperboard frame part, 10” x 8”; Painting part, 6 ¾” x 5 ¾”.
Condition: Very good, no issues to report.
