Vintage Ceramic Norcrest Scratching Basset Hound Dog Japan

This is a vintage ceramic scratching Basset Hound figurine.  The maker was Norcrest, Japan. At one time Boswell the Basset Hound book was very popular.   This is one of 4 different figurines modeled after Boswell himself!
The dog is well proportioned and detailed.   Over the entire figurine is a lovely gleaming matte finish.   Measurement is approximately:  a tad under 4" H x 5" L (nose tip to rump).   The figurine is without chips or cracks. It is in excellent condition.    It was found in an estate sale.
