    Description

This sale is for an extremely rare counter half glass jar/bowl display. This glass bowl is in very good condition with no signs of age. The bowl has great graphics and features the “Tom’s toasted peanuts” decal and slogan. The base is stamped “Prop Tom’s distb., not to be sold”.  There is one small chip on the rim, measuring about an 8th of in inch, very hard to see. I included a photo zoomed in, so you can see it. This bowl measures  7 3/8” in diameter and 3 3/4” in height. For more photos or any questions, feel free to message me.
In 1925, Tom Huston founded "Tom's Roasted Peanuts",
and began selling his peanuts for a nickel a bag. Within two years, Tom's peanuts were being sold around the country, generating million in sales. Due to unpaid notes, though, Huston lost the company to the bank. In 1932, Walter Richards bought Tom's from the bank and took the company public. By the 1950s, sales reached million.
