This is a political war-supporting poster, the Chinese supporting Korean War (1950 - 1953).
This poster based on the painting original by Ai Zhongxin (1915 – 2003), an important founder of the Central Academy Of Fine Arts (CAOFA, established in January 1950 in Beijing), painted in 1950’s. It
was printed off for the reason to supporting the Korean War, especially for the Chinese Spring Offensive, a military operation known also as the Fifth Phase Offensive (from April to July, 1951), which conducted by the Chinese People’s Volunteer Army (CPVA) during the early period of Korean War.
This poster shows off the alliance of the CPVA and the North Korean People’s Army (KPA) fighting side by side, and the U.S. and UN soldiers were defeated, for example a shot-down satire US air force plane can be found down of the poster. The poster also shows off a triangle relation of three countries, Chinese, Korean and Soviet Russia, as the CPVA and KPA soldiers armed with the Soviet grenade and AK-47.
This poster titled Full Supporting the CPVA to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. As subtitled there are also some Chinese character letters To Heroic CPVA and KPA from Beijing, or Defend the Homeland and Aid Korea etc.
