The best way to remove the odor:
Gently place the urchins in a large bowl mixed with ¾ water and ¼ bleach
Soak the urchins for 20-40 minutes
Remove urchins and rinse with cold water to remove any leftover bleach
Set them out to dry in the sun !

Sea urchins are known for being extremely delicate and will be even more so after they are bleached. They can be slightly reinforced, however, by applying a simple mixture of Elmer’s glue and water. Either dip them in the solution or apply with a brush and let dry for roughly 10 minutes.
