Product Description:
This offering is for a pair of new-old-stock Shimano 600 brake levers (Model BL-6200) in the non-aero design (which means the brake cables will "exit" through the top of the levers, as opposed to being wrapped under the bar tape...as is so common with today's road bikes). These are the very late 70's / early 80's Shimano 600 drilled levers with factory matched rubber hoods that are a natural gum rubber (brown) color. We should also mention this model lever appears to be Shimano's original (or first generation) brake lever offering in it's 600/Ultegra product line...or possibly the first model that was commercially marketed/manufactured for the retail market. Regardless, it's a small piece of Shimano history that dates back about 30 years (while still remaining connected to one of the higher quality component groupsets in today's marketplace).
Please also note this offering
does
include oversized, non-aero cable housing stops...which are needed to deal with the cable opening at the top of each brake lever (and underneath the rubber hood) that measures about 8 mm in diameter. These oversized cable housing stops are still a relatively inexpensive spare part to acquire, but please understand you will need them for all Shimano 600 non-aero (Model BL-62XX) series levers.
On this same topic, we want to clarify that when we say "cable housing stops" we are not referring to the newer ferrules that are common today, which are typically the same diameter as the cable housing. Many of today's newer levers have built-in cable housing stops, so smaller ferrules are all that is needed. However, for many of these old stock brake levers (these levers included), a separate oversized cable housing stop is required that will slip over the cable housing. This oversized design is necessary, because it will "flare-out" at the end to provide a platform that rests on top of vintage brake levers (and underneath the rubber hoods).
The small lot of these brake levers were bulk packed, so please expect some minor shopwear with these sets...but functionally the sets are fine and the gum rubber hoods are still surprisingly soft and pliable (especially when considering they appear to be an original factory match to the levers).
Listing Update...We have sold through most of our stocks in these levers, so we have begun updating the pictures for the next set that will sell/ship. To this end, I can confirm this next set shows fairly well. Please also note that while we have multiple quantities listed for sale, we will repeatedly update the pictures to reflect the next offering that will sell/ship.

Note to international customers regarding shipping...
We apologize to those that feel some of our international shipping charges are too high. We only charge actual shipping rates, but once an order exceeds a certain amount, we hesitate to use the least expensive US Postal Services First Class International service. We feel this way, because this service is not trackable or insurable...so more risk of loss. We prefer the US Postal Services Priority Mail International service for more expensive orders, because this service is trackable at USPS.com and insurable...so less risk of loss. Unfortunately, this service is more expensive, especially for smaller/lighter packages, relative to the First Class International service. We are sorry about these higher shipping costs, but hopefully our notes help to explain why this is the case.
Note to international customers regarding customs...
We also apologize to those that feel their country import taxes, duties and brokerage fees are excessive. As a small US business, we are required by customs' laws to declare each order as a retail sale. Additionally, the declared order value must be equal to total store purchases and/or winning auction bids (less any shipping costs, as these are not considered in the declared value). As a result, each customer will be responsible for paying his/her own country taxes, duties and brokerage fees, which will be collected upon delivery. Again, we apologize for these additional costs, but we cannot afford the penalties and fines that come with breaking customs' laws...so we have to strictly abide by them.
