Why a Bypass is Needed
When the KEBC actuator is disconnected or broken the signal between the Controller, 2WD/4WD Switch, and Indicator is disrupted causing the dash indicator to flash back and forth.
This Bypass Relay replicates the original signal sent by the KEBC, once installed the KEBC can be completely removed.
How it Works
The Bypass Relay replicates the signal the Brake Acutator would have sent if it were connected / functioning.
- When the 2WD/4WD switch sends a signal to the controller the Bypass Relay does not send a signal to the dash indicator light.
- When the 2WD/4WD switch does not send a signal to the controller the Bypass Relay does send a signal to the dash indicator light.
