Dog Bassett Hound in Kennel 1860s Engraving Antique Print & Article

Description

You are bidding on a very rare original antique engraving from an 1860s French illustrated journal.
It depicts three beautiful bassett hounds who have just been feed their dinner by a beautiful woman farmer.
There is also has a 39-inch article related to the picture that starts on the front of the print and continues to the back. There appears to be more to the article, but it is not included. It is in French, but free computer translation programs make it easy to translate.
The page measures approximately 10.4 x 7.5 inches (26.5 x 19 cm). The picture itself fills about half the page, and measures about 8.6 x 5.5 inches, with a French caption below. It is surrounded by unrelated text. The text could easily be trimmed before framing, or hidden under a window mat.
The page is in excellent condition for its age EXCEPT for a fox mark stain at the start of the article (see closeup scan) and some minor stains to the white margin area.
