  • Condition: These are "sorta-vintage" from the late 1980's, so the white paper of the protective sheets (not the cut-outs themselves) have some slight yellowing. The cut-outs still have their vibrant colors and haven't been used and are in their paper protective sheets. The outside envelope has a little bit of writing on it (see photos), some age discoloration & storage wear, but is intact and otherwise in great condition. Cutouts are un-used and in great condition. There a couple of tiny dots on a couple of the cutouts' colored parts- this is characteristic of the paper, which was handmade, and isn't that noticeable, nor does it detract from the beauty of the cutouts.

    Description

    Colorful Chinese folk-art cutouts of graceful courtesans & courtesan musicians;
    From the late 1980's. Listed as pre-owned due to age, but never used;
    Price includes set of 5 cutouts and the original envelope that the cutouts came in;
    Cutouts are in good condition- be sure to see condition box for details.
    Beautifully hand-painted with vibrant colors;
    Size of each cutout varies, but they average about 12 inches long and about 6 inches wide;
    Note that the cutouts are extremely thin and delicate- you'll need to exercise a bit of care when handling them to prevent damage. They each have a protective backing paper with a vellum overlay (see last photo), so storing them flat won't be problematic;
