    This is an original and important political Celebrating poster. The poster based on the establishment of the Beijing Municipal Revolutionary Committee (BMRC), what occurred on the date of April 20

    , 1967. It was important because on this day that the BMRC replaced the Beijing Municipal Committee, and became to the highest administrative unit of Beijing, the capital of China. This was an important sign that the Chinese Cultural Revolution (CCR) has officially begun.
    This poster printed in 1972. The purpose of the publication was to commemorate the establishment of BMRC, as well as to comment the achievement of BMRC over the past five years. On the other hand it’s so significant, that this poster was not only an important commemorating poster, but also an important celebrating poster of the middle period of the CCR. It showed that the CCR has entered the craziest stage in the middle term.
