: antique letter opener from National Equipment Companym, early 1900s manufacturer of candy making machinery
MATERIAL
: brass plated (worn) and red enamel (good)
MAKER/MARKS
: lettre opener logo of National Equipment Company on front, and was made by Metal Arts Co., of New York.
DIMENSIONS
: approx 9" long, 1 1/4" wide are widest point.
CONDITION
:  Antique letter opener, red enamel logo on worn brass plated letter opener. Tip worn, scratched, still very usable. (admit it, you've used letter openers as screw-drivers, etc, too!!!)
REMARKS
: whether you collect Springfield memorabilia, candy items collection, or office/desk items...this is a cool, unusual addition to your collection, and it still can be used!
