Antique Navy Hat
Cadet?
Hat is in just OK shape.
Stitching is dry rotted on sweatband.
Visor has crack. Other material is OK, but this is not for wear.
Mystery hat.
No maker's name or size.
Measures about 20" around the inside and that would be below a size small.
Maybe this was for a Navy cadet?
Has fouled anchor fasteners for missing visor band.
Material is thin tan cotton.
Has strong wire in top for holding shape.
Looks like an official hat for something, not a toy thing.
I have put some plastic bags inside to puff up for photos, otherwise it lays flat, as if it had been stored that way for a long time.
