Antique 19th Century Daum Nancy Monumental Thistle Vase

Description

This Daum vase has cameo thistle leaves and stems extending upward from foot with beautiful lavender enameled thistle flowers highlighting the vase. The cameo stems and leaves have enamel highlights in black and gray with gold trim and veining in leaves and stems. The cameo thistles are set against a beautiful light blue opalescent body with streaks of pink and green, all finished with an acid texture. An enameled collar of thistles against a swirling gold background ring the neck of the vase. Signed on bottom “Daum Nancy”
