    Our parachute design allows for stable deployment at high altitudes near the vacuum of space. The 36" diameter parachute is designed to yield a decent rate of 15 mph (7 m/s) once back in the thicker atmosphere near ground level. The custom designed connection at the top of the parachute allows for in-line connection to weather balloon assemblies. Bright orange and white colors provide high contrast and greater visibility during the descent and recovery phases. All parachutes are individually hand made in the USA. Parachutes use a six sided design with 70 Denier silicone coated ripstop nylon, which allows for a lighter overall weight than standard polyurethane coated parachutes.
